Minor Dislocations
A joint can become dislocated from a trauma during activities like a fall or throwing a ball. When the joint surfaces are separated, the joint is dislocated. A dislocation can be complete or partial.
It is often difficult to tell whether the injury is a dislocated joint or a broken bone. Both are considered emergency situations requiring immediate medical attention, and if you suspect either orthopedic condition, visit your local urgent care center.
